Built for a board or a rider
A position of its own.
The Tracker has its own GPS and cellular connection. Your phone does not need to stay beside the board.
Sealed construction. Potted electronics, a magnetic switch and wireless charging.
Solar assistance. Solar top-up supports the rechargeable battery; runtime depends on reporting mode and conditions.
Included connectivity. Up to 10 years, with a 500 MB data and 250 SMS allocation per Tracker. Usage and local network coverage apply.

No. Start with a SmartSurf account and explore the app. Android phone tracking is available; a dedicated Tracker adds an independent position for a board or rider.
Is a tracking subscription required?
Tracking platform access and the stated connectivity allocation are included with fully paid hardware. Optional Intelligence Pro access is purchased separately. Connectivity top-ups may be needed if the included allocation is used up.
What is available, and what is still being developed?
The web app, Android Companion location reporting, text-based SmartSurf answers, condition Watchdogs and consent-based school tools are available. SmartSurf Tracker hardware is currently on preorder. End-to-end spoken alerts, hands-free Voice Copilot conversation, wake-word controls and adaptive Watchdog monitoring are in development or planned; they are not part of the current offer.
Does SmartSurf replace rescue equipment or services?
No. SmartSurf supports your judgement with positions and conditions information. It does not guarantee recovery or rescue, and it cannot report live without power, GPS and a connection.
